Latest News ~ Future Plans and Add-ons There have been reports of certain anti virus programs that are saying YInformer is a virus and/or trojan, these reports are completely FALSE! I will attempt to contact those vendors to clear it up.
YInformer has been developed to primarily scan users on Yahoo Messenger using @yahoo.com, @ymail.com and @rocketmail.com. We have tested (although do not support) scanning on web messenger and messenger for Vista and all appear to return accurate results!
YInformer will also display if the scanned username is a primary or alias ID and if it is an alias, it will return the primary ID it is listed under!Having ongoing problems with YInformer and our Forums have no answers? Click the following link to submit a detailed trouble report.

What is YInformer?
YInformer is the award winning, ultimate Yahoo Messenger (YM) buddy/ID scanner. This program will allow you to scan your YM buddies or any YID to see if they are online, even if they are in invisible or stealthed! This program does NOT rely on the P2P packet (that most other programs use) that is not accurate when it comes to stealth detection. Best of all, you do not have to have your ID added to that persons buddy list like the P2P requires. This has been updated with the p2p option though, so if you know that your bot/ID is on the target buddy list...this will be much more accurate! However, if the bot you login with is not on the buddy list, it will show up as offline. For best results, it is highly recommended to use the latest production version/build of Yahoo Messenger. How does it work?
This will send (depending on the scan type) specially created packets to send to the target ID. The packet that is sent will return some data back and YInformer will parse that data to determine the online status of the target. Depending on what is returned, it will then show if the target is online or really offline. If said target is invisible (stealthed), it will show them as online! The cam scan will scan all 3 of the primary Yahoo cam servers to see if a users webcam is being broadcast. If it is, it will say Cam On. Please note - YInformer does not have any options to view that persons cam...normally, anonymously or invisibly and will not have those options either. Why should I use it? What is it used for?
There are other programs like this available, so what makes this one any different?YInformer has several different scanning methods to choose from that are highly accurate when the right one is used and YInformer is clean, compact, easy to use, full of options and fully supported! It has a 97% accuracy rating! Its hard to give a 100% due to the ever changing yahoo protocol and/or any network "hiccups" that can occur. We strive to keep YInformer as up to date as possible by ensuring coding is up to standard, adding new features and implementing an auto update feature that will check on program startup if there is an update available!
YInformer has primarily been used to see if your YM buddies are online (but invisible) but has expanded to any YM user, not just someone on your buddy list. YInformer has also been used to track cheating (or suspected of cheating) spouse/significant others.
There is also a Profiler feature that will let you know what all ID's have either logged in or attempted to login on messenger on your pc. This will also show mistyped ID's.
Why should I use YInformer when there are online sites (with no software download/install) that I can use?
We have a good explanation at the url below (opens in a new window) that we feel will have you want to use YInformer instead of the web based options.

This program will let you scan on anyone in Yahoo Messenger for online status. Simply install this program and use the Y Informer shortcut to launch this program. We also have an image loaded online help guide at http://yinformerhelp.programmingsource.net!Future Plans and Concepts...
We keep YInformer updated to work correctly as quickly as we can, that is done all the time. From time to time we will make further enhancements and options available to make the software even better. Here is list of proposed and future options:
Add a Y!Multi Messenger option to enable or disable the option of running multiple instances of Yahoo Messenger. (done)
Add a Deny a Buddy option to remove your Yahoo ID from someone else's buddy list.
Add a stored database of previously scanned names so you can start typing in an ID and it will start showing ID's you have scanned and can quickly click the ID to fill it in; an auto-complete
YInformer is in no way
affiliated with nor endorsed by Yahoo! Inc.
